Before ticket sales, eager fans who wanted to attend the event had to register their interest and wait to see if they would be given the chance to purchase an in-demand ticket.
300 women are scheduled to attend the event, which will take place between April 17 and 19.
Tickets for the event started at A$2,699 (£1,400) per person. The VIP experience set fans back $3,199AUD [£1,700].
This experience includes, but is not limited to, a group picture with Meghan, seating within the front two rows at Meghan’s event and an exclusive VIP goodie bag.
Following the event announcement, and once the fans found out the price of tickets, they took to social media to complain.
Taking to X, one fan commented: “This is so much more pathetic than we thought! Meghan Markle is merching a wellness spa and hotel while using her children’s titles! It will cost $3,200 for two days of an open bar! Read her resume. She would be NOTHING without those titles!”
Another wrote: “For $3,000 I’d want her to come around to my house and cook me dinner and then cut it up and feed it to me before she does the dishes and my laundry and then vacuums the house. She can wash the car too. Three Grand!!! P*** off.”
A third added: “Who the f*** would spend $3,000 to listen to her – a failure by every metric, only good at using many words and saying nothing.”
Prince Harry is also set to join his wife on the trip Down Under. Their children, six-year-old Prince Archie and four-year-old Princess Lilibet, will reportedly remain at their home in the US.
