Popular British rock band The Ultra Violets suffered a heartbreaking loss recently as it’s drummer, Tyler Harris, died.
The band announced the news on its Instagram account.
‘This is something we never though we’d have to write, but our beloved Tyler, a song, a brother, a uncle, a partner, our friend and our heartbeat has tragically passed away,” the post read. “We hope you can respect our privacy at this difficult time, we will be taking some time out to process this.
“Tyler we love you with all our hearts, play that kit loud up there won’t you?”
Vocalists Perran Nicholls and Marc Willoughby and bassist Adam Knucky — the remaining members of the band — signed the statement.
Harris’ age has not been reported.
Suggest reported that Harris’ death was sudden and came just weeks after the band appeared at a music festival.
Fans flooded the statement’s responses with prayers and well-wishes.
“I’m so sorry for your loss guys,” one person wrote. “Terrible news. Sending so much love to you all.”
“I’m so deeply sorry for your loss,” another response read. “Tyler’s energy and talent touch so many people, and his music will live on in all of us. Sending love, strength and comfort to you all during this heartbreaking time.”
The band, which formed in 2020, issued a follow-up response to fans after the outpouring of love.
“Thank you all the love and support,” that post read. “It’s been the hardest few days ever! Tyler wouldn’t believe how much love he’s got right now a love I wish he was here to see, he really was the kindest and funniest soul around. Thank you again everyone keep sharing the memory.”
