San Francisco’s Pier 80 will once again come alive Sept. 20–21 as the Portola Music Festival returns with a powerhouse lineup — and this year, the celebration expands beyond the pier.
Portola Week
Festival organizer Goldenvoice has announced the launch of Portola Week, a citywide series of more than 20 shows running Sept. 18–25 at venues across San Francisco.
The event is designed to build anticipation before, during and after the festival weekend, creating a citywide takeover that spans clubs, ballrooms, and warehouses.
Highlights include a Peggy Gou b2b Mau P set at 888 Garage, The Prodigy headlining The Warfield, Magdalena Bay performing both a live set and a DJ set at The Warfield and The Great Northern, and Brutalismus 3000 teaming up with Underworld and Ki/Ki at The Midway.
The lineup also features Duke Dumont at 1015 Folsom, Neil Frances (DJ set) & Daphni at Public Works, and late-night shows with ZACK FOX, Chris Lorenzo, Hamdi, Salute, and Prospa.
Organizers say the week is meant to welcome both first-time attendees and longtime fans, bringing the festival’s energy into some of San Francisco’s most iconic venues.

The Main Portola Festival
The festival, now in its fourth year, has built a reputation for its unique setting. Instead of sprawling fields, Portola unfolds against the backdrop of San Francisco’s working docks, with multiple stages tucked into warehouses and open-air piers. Organizers describe it as a design meant to amplify the energy of large-scale performances while keeping the atmosphere immersive.
This year’s lineup features a diverse mix of established and emerging artists, including Christina Aguilera, Duke Dumont, Arc De Soleil, Mau P, Dom Dolla, Moby, Peggy Gou, and The Prodigy.
Christina Aguilera, known for hits such as “Genie in a Bottle” and “Say Something,” is expected to bring powerhouse vocals and commanding stage presence.
Duke Dumont is expected to bring deep house energy, perhaps mixing in fan favorites like “Ocean Drive” and “I Got U,” while Arc De Soleil is known for atmospheric, cinematic electronic soundscapes, including tracks such as “Lumin Rain” and “Riders of the Moon.”
Emerging talents Mau P and Dom Dolla are likely to keep the crowd moving with high-energy sets that could feature hits like Mau P’s “MERTHER” and Dom Dolla’s “Dreamin.”
Legendary electronic artist Moby may take listeners on a nostalgic journey with classics like “Porcelain” and “Natural Blues,” while Peggy Gou’s set is expected to deliver infectious house and techno vibes, with possible highlights like “Starry Night” and “It Makes You Forget (Itgehane).”
Fans of big beat will be watching The Prodigy, who are known for electrifying performances of tracks such as “Firestarter” and “Breathe.”
Festivalgoers can choose from General Admission, VIP and VIP XL passes. VIP XL includes premium perks like an elevated viewing deck with comfortable seating and full-service staff at the Pier Stage. Single-day and two-day passes remain available.
