Is Post Malone‘s net worth about to take a severe dip?

The musician was named in a lawsuit filed by his limo driver for reportedly failing to fulfill a financial obligation that followed his appearance in a music video.

Post Malone’s latest lawsuit comes on the heels of his former girlfriend and baby mama, Hee Sung ‘Jamie’ Park, dropping the Los Angeles part of their ongoing custody battle.

The popstar was reportedly named in a new lawsuit filed on Friday at Utah’s Fourth District Court by Larry Deuel, who identified himself as a teacher and a part-time limo driver.

The driver claimed in his filing that Malone and another artist, Tyla Yaweh, approached him to appear in a music video for their 2020 track “Tommy Lee.”

He noted that Malone requested his transport services to the ranch where the video was being filmed and was ultimately asked to get in the frame and be featured in the video. Deuel explained that he did it on the basis that Malone and Yaweh would fulfill what they had promised him financially.

The chauffeur recalled playing so many roles in the video, including unrolling a carpet, opening the car doors, and even standing beside the limo in several scenes.

He emphasized in the lawsuit that his role was essential to help bring the theme of wealth, power, and celebrity privilege to life, as that was what the two artists’ personalities embodied.

According to The Daily Mail, Deuel revealed that all the promises to compensate him instantly went out the window, and the cash never came.

Deuel claims in the lawsuit that he has never signed a release that gave Malone or Yaweh the right to use his name, image, and likeness in the video.

The video was put out commercially and reached an audience of over 97 million on YouTube, with hundreds of millions of streams on Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, and Amazon, as alleged in the complaint.

Deuel is now suing both artists on fraudulent inducement, misappropriation of name and likeness, breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and other causes of action. The lawsuit is also seeking punitive damages of $10 million, including profit disgorgement.

The complaint further asserts that Deuel made five years of attempts to resolve the dispute privately. It included various efforts to get an audience with Sony, Better Noise Music, the management of Malone, and Malone himself, as far back as 2020.

Deuel claims that in August 2025, a letter was served to the Utah home of Malone, but it was reportedly laughed off by the security guards who declined to receive service.

Post Malone And Tyla Yaweh Paid Homage To Tommy Lee’s Carefree Life In The Song

The catchy title of the song definitely would ring a bell in the ears of lovers of Lee, who was part of the Mötley Crüe drumming crew. As shared by NME, Yaweh took fans through the creative process backstage, which showed both of them writing and recording the track in Washington, DC, and Los Angeles.

Yaweh explained that the song essentially captured how it felt to live life and spread positive energy as you go. The rapper praised Lee’s ability to do precisely that as the inspiration for the track, which was released on June 12, 2020.

Beyond their collaboration for the project, Yaweh was signed to Malone’s record label at the time, speaking on how it felt to work with the singer. According to him:

“Just watching is enough for me. I watch and I learn. He’s just always there for me and [is] hands-on with all this stuff.”

The producer recently won a court case in a custody case with his ex over their daughter. Malone and his legal team had braced up to challenge Park’s filing to gain their daughter’s physical custody in California.

The Blast reported that Park eventually ditched the side of the case and focused on gaining physical custody in Utah. The shift here brought the battle back to Utah, where Malone had initially filed his own case and where things reportedly started to favor him.

California generally permits greater payments of child support funds than Utah, and the very fact that Park had first moved there came as a surprise.

Close sources reportedly believed Malone’s ex made the move to L.A. after they broke up at the end of 2024 to make the place her home and seek a larger financial reward. Although Utah filings made by Malone are under wraps, the strategy seems to be effective.

Malone took the world by storm when his face popped up as the latest face of SKIMS undergarments and loungewear line back in August.

The shoot marked his first-ever modeling gig, and the journey began on a very cold night in Utah, where SKIMS Cotton Duvet Robe provided him warmth in the comfiest manner.

Malone claimed things moved very fast, and he found himself posing in the woods in camouflage underwear designed by SKIMS. Describing the whole process with his usual humor, Malone explained:

“It’s terrifying for me. I’ve never done anything like that. It’s like a Sasquatch sighting.”

He even joked about how he tried adding weight for the shoot, although the short timeframe did not permit that sort of magic to happen. Regardless, Malone was beyond grateful to be part of something so special and fit into “the most comfortable thing” he has ever worn.

Which way will the hammer of justice swing for Post Malone?
