Cardi B reacted to the news that her boyfriend, Stefon Diggs, is being sued for paternity by another woman — and seemed unbothered by the drama.
“Hello, Barbara, this is Shirley,” the Grammy winner, 32, said in a recent Instagram Live video, referencing Shirley Brown’s 1974 song “Woman to Woman,” which is about a woman calling her husband’s mistress.
“That’s your baby daddy, bitch? That’s my baby daddy too,” Cardi continued while layering shredded cheese over a dish. “Well, what now? I don’t f***ing know. We’ll figure it out, bitch.”
Earlier this month, Us Weekly confirmed that Diggs, 31, fired back after a woman named Aileen Lopera sued him for paternity of her 5-month-old daughter. Lopera, who gave birth to a daughter named Charliee on April 2, claimed in court documents filed in December 2024 that she was pregnant with Diggs’ baby.
Her petition requested sole legal and physical custody of the child and asked that the NFL star be declared the legal father and awarded visitation. The filing also asked the court to order Diggs to pay child support, cover the expenses related to her pregnancy and legal fees.
In his July response to the suit, Diggs requested “genetic testing to determine whether” he was indeed the father. The New England Patriots wide receiver also asked for joint legal and physical custody of the child if DNA testing shows that he is the father.
Cardi, for her part, announced on Wednesday, September 17, that she is expecting her first baby with Diggs. (The rapper shares daughters Kulture, 7, and Blossom, 12 months, and son Wave, 4, with estranged husband Offset.)

“I’m having a baby with my boyfriend, Stefon Diggs. I’m excited,” Cardi told Gayle King during an interview on CBS Mornings. “I’m happy. I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong, very powerful that I’m doing all this work — but I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby.”
She also gushed about Diggs in the same interview, saying that he makes her “feel safe and very confident and very strong.”
“Two weeks ago, I was literally having a panic attack. I was, like, crying and crying and crying, just because I was getting really nervous with the whole album rollout. People were coming at me very hard; you know, sometimes people love you, people hate you. And people was just saying very mean things about me,” Cardi continued. “And he was just like, ‘Girl, you better get it together.’ … I feel like feeling safe, feeling confident, it makes you feel like you can take over the world.”
Cardi’s new album, Am I the Drama?, which dropped Friday, September 19, includes several references to Diggs.
“I be staring in your eyes through the whole day / I swear to God, I hope our kids have your whole face / Take these clothes off and throw ’em on the floor / I told my girl I’m ’bout to give this man a boy / Throw me on my back,” she raps on the raunchy “On My Back.”
The love song “Safe,” meanwhile, is seemingly about the comfort Diggs offers Cardi in their relationship. “I dealt with a couple n****s but nobody ever made me feel / Safe like you (Facts),” she raps.
