US legislators have criticised Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s “silence” during their probe into convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Members of the House Oversight Committee had requested a “transcribed interview” with the disgraced former duke regarding his “long-standing friendship” with Epstein.
Epstein committed suicide in a New York prison in 2019 while he was waiting for trial on sex trafficking and conspiracy charges.
Democrats Rober Garcia and Suhas Subramanyam have accused Andrew of hiding, saying in a statement: “Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s silence in the face of the Oversight Democrat’s demand for testimony speaks volumes.

“The documents we’ve reviewed, along with public records and Virginia Roberts Giuffre’s testimony, raise serious questions he must answer, yet he continues to hide.
“Our work will move forward with or without him, and we will hold anyone who was involved in these crimes accountable, no matter their wealth, status, or political party. We will get justice for the survivors.”
Andrew continues to deny any wrongdoing, but agreed to stop using his titles before Buckingham Palace announced the former prince would have his titles removed and be forced to move from his Royal Lodge home.
One of Jeffrey Epstein’s survivors, Marina Lacerda, has mounted pressure on Andrew to reveal what he knows.
Speaking to 5 News, she revealed: “If I myself got accused of something this outrageous, I would want to go and at least clear my name.
“Clear up your name. And if you did do any wrongdoing, own up to it.

“You have a family. You have daughters. You have daughters that have daughters.
“I hope he has the balls to face up [to] what he did and answer the questions. Why shouldn’t he?
“Okay. If you know this is something that you’ve done in the past and you regret it, just say it to the world. What’s the worst thing that could possibly happen now.”
Ms Lacerda met Epstein when she was 14 and has also called on Sarah Ferguson, Princess Beatrice, and Princess Eugenie to reveal if they knew anything about the situation.
However, there is no evidence to suggest they had any knowledge of any wrongdoing.
She continued: “It would be the right thing to do for them to get subpoenaed. He said that he was having pizza with his daughters, right, if I’m not mistaken.
“So, it would be nice to get some transparency there, and I would hope that his daughters would speak. They would be truthful about it.
