It looks like the royal family will continue to look out for one another.
While King Charles III is officially stripping Prince Andrew of his royal titles due to allegations against him in connection with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, he will continue to provide financial support to his youngest brother.
The king did not provide details on how much income the 65-year-old—now being referred to as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor—will receive, however his majesty did share that his sibling will be removed from his residence at the Royal Lodge, with NBC News learning that he will be transferred to a private residence at Sandringham estate.
Additionally, Andrew’s ex-wife Sarah“Fergie” Ferguson will make her own living arrangements, and has been stripped of her Duchess of York title, while the former couple’s daughters Princess Beatrice, 37, and Princess Eugenie, 35, will retain their official designations.
The King’s decision to officially strip Andrew of his “Style, Titles and Honours” on Oct. 30—including Prince, Duke of York, Earl of Inverness, Baron Killyleagh and the style “His Royal Highness,” as well as his honors Order of the Garter and Knight Grand Cross of the Victorian Order—came two weeks after Andrew first announced he would be giving up his titles in an Oct. 17 statement due to “continued accusations” against him that “distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family.”
