Social media erupted over the weekend after Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian quietly removed photos featuring Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from their Instagram accounts.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were among the high-profile guests at Jenner’s 70th birthday celebration, held at the Beverly Hills home of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez.
Initially, both Jenner and Kardashian had shared group photos from the lavish birthday party, which included the couple, but those images later vanished without any explanation.
“It appears that the pictures of Harry and Meghan have been scrubbed from Kris Jenner and even Kim Kardashian’s Instagrams,” one user commented on X, formerly Twitter.
“Wonder why? You go to an event like that you should expect pictures to be taken… They already went so the damage has been done.”
Others suggested the decision came from the Kardashian side.
“Meghan Markle lured her husband away because she wants to live a ‘private life’ yet desperately tries to hang out with a-listers in Hollywood…” one user wrote.
Another added, “It’s so embarrassing that even Kim Kardashian deleted this photo, not wanting to be associated with her.”
“Honestly seems like Kimmy deleted them because they were getting more attention than anyone else in the carousel,” someone else claimed.
The deleted photos had shown Jenner posing with Markle and Harry at the lavish event. Kardashian had also posted a separate image with Markle. Both were later removed.
The couple’s attendance at the party drew criticism from some British royal experts.
“It truly shows that Harry is so far removed from the rest of the family,” a royal insider told Page Six.
“These people may be stars in America, but the pure ostentatiousness is at odds with what Prince William is trying to do with his life and the monarchy,” the source added.
