King Charles reportedly believes Prince Harry is “whipped” by his wife, Meghan Markle, according to explosive claims from a Royal expert.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have faced considerable challenges since stepping back from their Royal duties in 2020 and relocating to sunny California.
The couple has encountered fierce criticism for their post-royal endeavors, including Harry’s bombshell memoir Spare and their revealing sit-down with Oprah Winfrey, while Meghan’s new lifestyle brand, As Ever, and Netflix series have recently suffered devastating setbacks.
Royal commentator Esther Krauke has now alleged that, despite deliberately distancing themselves from the monarchy, Meghan, 43, remains deeply dissatisfied with her diminished Royal standing, while suggesting the King harbors concerns that Harry, 40, is being controlled.
Speaking to The Sun, Krauke revealed: “We know that King Charles said something about him being whipped. We keep hearing things consistently coming out from courtiers and people that are close to the Royal Family.”
A Royal biographer suggests that Harry had left the late Queen ‘dismayed’ with certain wedding preparations – even claiming that he nearly ‘blew’ his bond with his late grandmother.
Sally Bedell Smith reveals that prior to her passing, Lady Elizabeth Anson, a relative of Elizabeth II and an elite event coordinator, disclosed that the former sovereign had grown “very worried” about her grandson and that Meghan’s motives had come under scrutiny.
Ex-BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond informed the Mirror that the circumstances were ‘extremely sad’. She elaborated: “There have been too many reports about tensions in the weeks running up to Harry and Meghan’s marriage to discount them. I think the old saying ‘there’s no smoke without fire’ holds true.
“Lady Elizabeth Anson was certainly a very well-connected and informed source for these latest reports, which suggest that the Queen felt Harry was rushing into a marriage too quickly.
“Worse than that, it seems the Queen and other members of the Royal Family doubted Meghan’s sincerity and found her very difficult to deal with.
“It’s extremely sad to think that the situation also soured the late Queen’s relationship with her very much loved grandson, Harry: a young man she had nurtured and guided through the very worst time of his life, the death of his mother.
“Is it fair that all this is being brought up so many years later? Maybe not, but then perhaps Meghan shouldn’t allude to lies being told about her eight years ago, which she did in a recent podcast.
“The fact is the royal story is always a source of curiosity and will sell books and papers, especially when there is a whiff of discord or scandal.”
