During the October 3 episode of Apple TV+’s The Reluctant Traveler, the Prince of Wales told host Eugene Levy, “It’s safe to say that change is on my agenda, change for good.”

William elaborated on his vision, highlighting his excitement for meaningful, though not radical, adjustments within the monarchy. “I embrace that and I enjoy that change, I don’t fear it. That’s the bit that excites me — the idea of being able to bring some change, not overly radical change, but changes that I think need to happen,” he said.

A source familiar with palace dynamics told the Examiner that the Sussexes interpret William’s comments as a “very thinly veiled threat.”

A source claimed that Prince William’s focus on change is being “interpreted as confirmation that cutting Harry and Meghan completely loose is part of the plan,” the source claimed.

The same insider added that the Prince of Wales disapproves of how King Charles III has been lenient toward the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

According to the insider, “It’s pretty much accepted within the royal household that once he does take the throne, Harry and Meghan will immediately get their titles yanked.”

Last month, Harry and King Charles reunited for a private tea in the UK, ending a 19-month estrangement. An insider told the Examiner that the king is actively encouraging William to reconcile with his younger brother.

“There’s a real sense that the king is trying all in his power to soothe family tensions and get things in order before William takes the crown,” the insider explained.
