Prince Harry is in the UK for four days, and the public is in a flutter over what to expect as the week rolls out.
Harry just arrived today and went straight to St. James’s Chapel to visit Queen Elizabeth II’s burial site, and from there, made his way to the WellChild Awards, which will be followed by a trip to Nottingham where he will make a major pledge to the Children in Need organization.
Rob Shuter, author of the Naughty but Nice Substack, sees this as the Duke reclaiming the public’s attention.
He said: “Prince Harry’s latest move has Buckingham Palace buzzing. The Duke of Sussex has quietly stretched his upcoming trip home into a four-day tour, with a packed schedule that insiders say looks like a deliberate challenge to Prince William.”
“This isn’t a quick stop, it’s a statement,” one royal aide told #ShuterScoop. “Harry’s showing Britain he can still do the work without needing palace approval.”
Harry is in the UK to support his patronages. At the same time, he’s hoping to meet with his father, King Charles, who he reportedly hasn’t seen in over a year.
Over the summer, Harry’s reps met with Charles’s rep in the UK, and then there was a talk of a royal reconciliation, which has royal watchers on the edge of their seats.
But according to Shuter, Harry’s packed schedule could come across as “grabbing cameras,” but really, he’s “reclaiming attention.’
At the same time, four days isn’t all that long, and it may be that Harry is trying to make the most of his time, with one of his friends coming to his defense that Harry isn’t all about protocol.

Shuter says in his Substack that a friend of Harry’s came to the Duke’s defense.
“Harry’s never been about protocol,” The friend said. “He’s about people, service, connection. Whether or not William likes it, Harry isn’t going to stop.”
