Prince Harry’s African charitable endeavors have faced repeated obstacles that should act as a “wake-up” call for the Duke, according to a Royal expert.

Earlier this year, the Duke of Sussex resigned from Sentebale, the organization he co-founded to assist children impacted by AIDS in Botswana and Lesotho, following a public confrontation with its chairwoman, Dr Sophie Chandauka, who leveled accusations of bullying and harassment against him—allegations he refuted.

Most recently, reports emerged that an African wildlife organization with which he is associated has been stripped of its authority to oversee major animal reserves in Chad, after the nation’s government made this determination. The news emerges as a royal expert claims Meghan and harry ‘do not deserve’ to be rewarded for their recent behaviour.

The nonprofit organization, where Prince Harry holds a board position and previously served as president, announced Tuesday that Chad’s government has formally ended its agreements permitting the charity to manage wildlife reserves within the country.

A government minister from Chad stated that the charity had displayed “a recurring indelicate and disrespectful attitude toward the government”, reports The Express.

Royal expert Jennie Bond now asserts that Prince Harry “certainly isn’t having much luck with his charity work in Africa”.

The former BBC Royal correspondent suggests this could serve as a wake-up call for the Duke of Sussex, telling the Mirror: “Although he doesn’t seem to be directly implicated in this latest fallout, the Chad Government does cite what it perceives to be his charity’s ‘arrogant and disrespectful behavior’.

“I think he has probably now learned that setting up charities and managing them successfully is a complex business. And, through no fault of his own, Harry doesn’t have much experience of running a business.”

African Parks, which manages 22 national parks and protected areas across 12 countries, including two key wildlife reserves in Chad – the Ennedi Natural and Cultural Reserve and the Greater Zakouma Ecosystem, is currently in discussions to “better understand the government’s position” and “explore the best way forward to support the continued protection of these critical landscapes”, following Chad’s decision to sever ties.

The charity stated: “African Parks will continue to keep its partners and stakeholders informed, as further clarity is obtained.”

Ms Bond suggested: “Perhaps Harry would be better advised in future to use his platform, and it is a powerful and influential platform, to support established charities and causes he believes in – without getting involved in their management.

“He already does that with the WellChild Awards, and his attendance is hugely valuable in every way. Having said that, his Invictus Games are an undoubted success and go from strength to strength. So he must be doing something right!”.
