Prince William and Kate Middleton tried to keep their love under wraps at first.
According to royal expert Robert Jobson, the couple’s pal was the first to tell their friend group that the two were dating during a game night.
“A revealing moment occurred during a dinner party with friends attended by Carly Massy-Birch,” the author wrote in his book, Catherine, the Princess of Wales, via People.

During a game of Never Have I Ever, Jobson claimed, “Carly exposed William’s secret love affair with Kate, much to the prince’s chagrin.”
Journalist Katie Nicholl also confirmed this story in her tell-all, The Making of a Royal Romance.
“She [Massy-Birch] announced, ‘I’ve never dated two people in this room,’ knowing full well that William was the only one who had, because Kate was sitting next to him,” the author claimed via InStyle.
Nicholl alleged that the Prince of Wales “shot a thunderous look” at Massy-Birch and said, “I can’t believe you just said that.”

Kate and William eventually got engaged and married in 2010. They later welcomed three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
While the pair are now applauded for being picture-perfect royals, biographer Christopher Andersen claimed that Queen Camilla wasn’t a fan of the former Duchess of Cambridge.
“She did not think she was up to snuff, as it were,” the writer claimed in a passage from the book Kate! via Page Six.
“She [Kate] was below the salt. She had no aristocratic blood,” Andersen claimed.

“People like Camilla didn’t want her because they felt that she was too common to be the wife of a future king,” he penned.
