Prince William gives rare update on Kate Middleton’s cancer struggles – Celebrity News – Entertainment

Prince William has provided a rare update on the condition of his wife Kate Middleton after her recent cancer battle.

The royal appears in an upcoming episode of Eugene Levy’s The Reluctant Traveler where he discusses the Princess of Wales and confirms that she is currently cancer-free, as he admits her improved health is very welcome, stating, “It’s great news.”

Eugene also quizzes the Prince of Wales on the state of his father King Charles’ health and his progress with his own cancer diagnosis and ongoing health battle.

William divulges that “things are good,” for his father, adding that, “everything is progressing in the right way, which is all good news.”

In the Apple TV+ show, William, 43, recalls the turmoil he and his family have been through since Kate’s cancer diagnosis and the toll it has taken on them.

The episode, which premieres Friday, sees him confessing, “You maybe think to yourself, ‘It won’t happen to us, we’ll be OK.”

He continues, “Because I think everyone has a positive outlook, you’ve got to be positive. But when it does happen to you, then it takes you into some pretty not great places.”

Charles most recent update on his health as he continues to battle his undisclosed cancer saw him admit he was “not [doing] too bad.”

Kate completed her chemotherapy in September 2024, before announcing in January 2025 that she was in remission from the disease.

She said in a lengthy statement, “I remain focused on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust.”

Kate has since returned to her Royal duties, albeit on a more relaxed schedule than previously.

Fans saw her attend the annual Trooping the Colour in June, as well as the UK state banquet last month.

She was also seen visiting with children in a Scout’s group alongside US First Lady Melania Trump during her visit to the UK alongside President Donald Trump.

While Kate pulledout of her planned appearance at Royal Ascot, she is continually striving to “find the right balance” for her health and her royal responsibilities.

In the episode, William also calls his wife’s cancer battle the “hardest year I’ve ever had,” as he candidly discusses the ordeal.

He said, “You know, life is sent to test us as well and being able to overcome that is what makes us who we are.”
