Princess Diana had one wish for her sons, which is being destroyed by their ongoing feud, an expert has claimed.
The tragic loss of their mother at a young age was something that initially brought Prince William and Prince Harry together, but their bond was fractured following Harry’s marriage to Meghan Markle.
Now Diana’s biographer, Andrew Morton, has outlined how he believes the feud would be devastating for Diana, who wanted to always be there for one another.
He told PEOPLE around the 28th anniversary of her death this year, “We all remember the days when Harry and William were joshing with one another, and it all seemed set for their relationship and the future — that Harry, as Diana always used to say, would be William’s wingman.”
However, the two have no contact or communication and seemingly no relationship with one another or any hope of a reconciliation.
Diana famously died after being involved in a horrifying car crash in Paris on August 31, 1997.
At the time William and Harry were just 15, and 12 years old.
William, 43, and his wife Kate Middleton, 43, share children Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.
Meanwhile Harry, 40, and Meghan Markle, 44, are parents to Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4.
The rift between them has also led to their extended families having no contact with each other and the cousins not seen together since before Lilibet was even born in 2019.
