Speaking after her recent trip, sources have confirmed that Catherine is relishing the prospect of accompanying her husband to South Asia in November. Plans are said to be underway for William’s annual Earthshot Prize – as well as a politically sensitive trip to the capital Delhi.
Prince William will host the sixth instalment of his environmental awards in Mumbai, with his wife’s potential tipped for her third appearance at the event.
Catherine previously accompanied him at the star studded event in London in 2021 and Boston in 2022.
Kensington Palace aides and mandarins at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office are said to be confident that this is the right time for the couple to launch their biggest joint venture in four years.
A royal source said: “The Prince and Princess of Wales stand ready to assist the country however they can. The plans are in the early stages but it promises to be an amazing experience.”
The couple previously visited India together in April 2016, with the trip proved to be a huge success at the time.
William and Catherine made high profile engagements across Mumbai, New Delhi, Kaziranga National Park in Assam, and the Taj Mahal in Agra during their past trip.
Speaking after her recent trip to Italy, a royal source said Catherine was “blown away” with the reception she received after being greeted by thousands in the streets and has returned home to the UK “full of excitement”.
It has been reported that Catherine is expected to take part in more foreign visits this year.
