This year, besides caring for Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, Kate has another important task to tackle.
The Princess will likely be overseeing the family’s move from Adelaide Cottage to Forest Lodge, which is expected to occur by Bonfire Night, Nov. 5, coinciding with William’s time in Brazil.
The eight-bedroom Georgian estate and its 150-acre grounds have already been secured to ensure the family’s safety and privacy. A source told the Daily Mail, “It is hoped they will be in the new home in time for Bonfire Night. That will make a fun start for the children.”
On Monday, the Earthshot Prize launched the Earthshot Boulevard in downtown Rio, marking the beginning of a series of events leading up to the ceremony on Nov. 5.
In collaboration with the climate charity, the Eleven Eleven Foundation, the boulevard features art installations and messaging aimed at encouraging climate action.
This represents the first occasion the environmental award has established a venue for public engagement in the event.
Kate officially became part of the British Royal family on April 29, 2011, when she wed Prince William at Westminster Abbey. She wasn’t given the title of the Princess of Wales until September 9, 2022, the day following Queen Elizabeth II’s passing.
The Prince and Princess of Wales have been occupied recently with Royal duties. Just last month, they welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump and Melania Trump at Windsor Castle during their state visit to the UK.
