Priscilla Presley reportedly harbors a lot of guilt regarding her daughter Lisa Marie, according to a source.
A source tells Globe that the Naked Gun actress, 80, has “regrets” over “how she handled things” with the late singer-songwriter, especially her marriage to Michael Jackson.
“There are a lot of things she’d do differently with her daughter, if she could, and a big one would be to stop Lisa Marie from getting caught up with Michael Jackson,” the source claims.
Lisa Marie — who passed away in January 2023 at 54 — wed the famed pop star in 1994, but the pair divorced in 1996.
The source explains that while Lisa Marie was “headstrong” and “not someone who could be told what to do,” the businesswoman “still feels like she could have done more” and “it eats at her to this day.”

In Priscilla’s new book, Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis — which the source notes “forced her to look really closely at a lot of painful things” — she admitted she was “appalled” by Lisa Marie and Jackson’s union.
“On May 26, 1994, she [Lisa Marie] married Michael Jackson in a secret ceremony in the Dominican Republic. She told me it was happening, but I was clearly not invited,” Priscilla recounted in the memoir. “My lack of enthusiasm was obvious. When she said she was marrying Michael, all I said was, ‘Really?’”
“I knew in my bones that Michael wasn’t marrying Lisa Marie; he was marrying the Presley dynasty,” she further penned. “The King of Pop was allying himself with the King of Rock and Roll. I didn’t believe he loved her. He married her at a time when he desperately needed good publicity that depicted him as a desirable heterosexual man.”
