At the Gold Gala in Los Angeles earlier this month, an annual event celebrating Asian and Pacific Islander leaders in entertainment, fashion, sports and culture, Priyanka Chopra Jonas was honored with the Global Vanguard award for her 25-year career in Bollywood and Hollywood. She accepted it in this angelic white gown, crafted by designer Amit Aggarwal and stylist Ami Patel from a 20-year-old traditional Chikankari sari, embroidered in silk on white chiffon. Aggarwal and Patel added beading and created the dramatic shape, with a fitted bodice and sweeping train; the result seems to be a dress made from the world’s most beautiful, glittering cloud.
