Pullen Park is celebrating its new electric train with a weekend of events.
The celebration will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday through Sunday. It will include the live music, crafts, story time in the caboose and more. Tickets for the celebration range from $6 to $10 and can be purchased online.
The park unveiled its new fully electric train engine earlier this month when the venue reopened to the public after about two months of construction.
Being fully electric means the train will have no downtime for refueling. The train charges overnight just like an electric car.
