‘Pulp Fiction’ Actor Peter Greene Died Of Accidental Self-Inflicted Gunshot To Armpit

Pulp Fiction actor Peter Greene, who was found lifeless in his Manhattan apartment on December 12, died after accidentally shooting himself in the left armpit, The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in New York City has determined.

The Medical Examiner’s office confirmed to Deadline that Greene’s cause of death was a gunshot wound “of left axilla with injury of brachial artery.” The wound caused extensive bleeding; the manner of death was determined by the Me as accidental.

The 66-year-old Greene was discovered in his Lower East Side apartment after a neighbor phoned the landlord and the police to conduct wellness checks. Neighbors have reported hearing Christmas music coming from Greene’s apartment non-stop for several days.

The actor, born in Montclair, New Jersey, was candid about his past struggles with addiction, although he reportedly had been sober for at least a couple years at the time of his passing.
