“The Queens! 4 Legends. 1 Stage” has announced six shows for next year, including a Feb. 20 performance at Toyota Center. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at blackpromoterscollective.com. A presale is scheduled at 10 a.m. Thursday.
Together, the quartet of Chaka Khan, LaBelle, Knight and Mills are responsible for some of the most iconic songs in R&B and pop history and boast careers spanning decades. Today, their songs are still heard frequently, being sung by any number of reality competition contestants.
LaBelle was at a Kroger store in Kingwood last month to promote a new pancake and waffle mix. Chaka Khan collaborated with Sia on the song “Immortal Queen,” and the pair are working on more music. This summer, Mills released a dance remix of the song “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.”
