Some Rachael Ray fans say the celebrity cook looks “unrecognizable” in a new video shared across her social media pages.
“Your hand is the original measuring spoon. When you’re seasoning as you go, don’t overthink it. A little pinch, a little palmful, a little confidence is all you need to cook by feel. Your food will thank you,” Ray wrote in the caption alongside a video about how to properly season when cooking.
However, it wasn’t the cooking lesson that most comments were interested in. Instead, many people were distracted by Ray’s appearance, with one Instagram user writing, “I didn’t even recognize her.”
“Did something happen to her?” said another.
“Is that Rachael Ray?” another asked.
Another added, “Holy crap I didn’t recognize who it was until I read the name.”
“I haven’t seen her is SO LONG. I’m genuinely wondering.. is she okay?” said one commenter.
“What happened to Ray Ray? She looks different,” wrote another.
“Can’t be her ?? No,” added another.
One Facebook commenter added, “Thats Rachel???!! Im speeches!! What happened!!??”
The past few months have been a difficult one for Ray after losing her mom, Elsa Scuderi, who died in 2025. In December, the Meals In Minutes star spoke to Yahoo about spending the holidays without her mom for the first time.
“It’s just not the happiest of holidays this year, but still one I’m filled with nothing but gratitude for,” she said. “It’s just a weird time of year to be without her.”
Fans had previously worried about Ray’s health after a September 2024 video in which some viewers thought she was slurring her speech. She later shared on her I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead podcast that she’d suffered a “couple bad falls.”
However, many others came to Ray’s defense, telling her to ignore the nasty comments.
“Remember people..not all thoughts need to be voiced. If you wouldn’t say it to her face in person then dont say it,” said one Instagram user.
“Come on people be nice, don’t judge or criticize. We never know why we change everyone’s body works differently than other women,” wrote another.

“She aged.. She’s had some health issues as well. What’s weird is people don’t know what aging is because everyone gets 100 surgeries and looks fake,” wrote one commenter.
