Radial Entertainment has named two veteran distribution executives to lead its sales and strategy operations as the newly formed company ramps up its global content offerings.

Julie Dansker has been appointed co-head of sales, distribution and strategy and executive VP of global licensing and international distribution, while Daniel Gagliardi takes on the role of co-head of sales, distribution and strategy and executive VP of North American digital distribution. Both report to chief revenue and strategy officer Johnny Holden.

The appointments come as Radial, which operates the FilmRise and Shout! Studios brands under backing from Oaktree Capital Management, looks to expand its footprint across streaming platforms and international markets with its library of more than 70,000 titles.

“Julie and Daniel have built distinguished careers in the entertainment industry by driving strategic partnerships, sales, and distribution with major studios, streaming platforms, and broadcasters,” Holden said in a statement. The exec noted their expertise will help “accelerate growth and refine strategies for success in sales and distribution across platforms worldwide.”

Dansker joins from Shout! Studios, where she served as senior VP of streaming and content strategy, overseeing licensing and streaming sales while directing content distribution strategies across SVOD, AVOD and broadcast partners. She was instrumental in launching FAST channels and managing relationships with global streaming partners. At Radial, she’ll spearhead international distribution efforts and TVOD operations while expanding the company’s presence in new markets.

During her tenure at Shout! Studios, Dansker was part of the team behind original productions including the Tim Blake Nelson-starring “Old Henry” and Viggo Mortensen’s “The Dead Don’t Hurt.”

Gagliardi brings extensive streaming experience from his previous role as executive VP of global streaming distribution and strategy at FilmRise, where he managed AVOD, SVOD and FAST partnerships. His new position will see him oversee North American digital platform licensing and manage Radial’s portfolio of 98 owned-and-operated FAST channels distributed to more than 750 endpoints globally.

Before FilmRise, Gagliardi served as head of content at VUDU (now Fandango at Home), building the platform’s content partnerships team and commissioning original productions. He also held a VP role at Lionsgate overseeing television and digital distribution, where he secured AVOD deals with platforms including Tubi, Pluto TV and Roku.

The company’s catalog spans true crime, reality, animation, action, horror and other genres, positioning it as one of the largest independent content libraries in the industry.
