Ranbir Kapoor’s public shout-out increases ‘Dhurandhar’s star power
As the spy thriller Dhurandhar continues its strong run in cinemas, it is now getting loud support from some of Bollywood’s biggest names.
On February 14, Ranbir Kapoor surprised fans during an Instagram Live session when he was asked about the last film he watched in theatres.
The 43-year-old was speaking through the Instagram page of his lifestyle brand ARKS, as he does not have a personal account.
His answer surprised many when he said, “It was Dhurandhar. Absolutely loved that film. The entire cast and crew smashed it. Really good times at the movies.”
The comment quickly spread across social media, adding more buzz to the espionage drama that has already been dominating conversations since its December 2025 release.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the movie stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role and mixes espionage with real historical moments.
Earlier this year, Alia Bhatt also broke her silence on the film through her production house Eternal Sunshine Pictures. In a public note, she called Dhurandhar “the voice of today’s India.”
“It’s the choice of today’s India. It’s based on a chapter in history. And now it’s the number one chapter in India’s cinema history,” the statement read.
The ensemble cast includes Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun.
With box office numbers still rising and stars lining up to praise it, the excitement is now shifting to the sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which is set to hit cinemas on Eid.
