Pool maintenance workers were observed being accompanied by law enforcement onto the extensive desert estate of Nancy Guthrie, who vanished on February 1.
Workers could be observed pulling nets through the inground pool. It is still unknown whether the residence is being treated as an active crime scene during the hunt for Nancy. However, according to the Prima County Sheriff’s Department, there’s no cause for alarm. A representative told the Express US, “At the request of the Guthrie family, routine pool maintenance was conducted at the residence today.”
According to TMZ, the business states it has never provided service to that location before.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has been collaborating extensively with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, pursuing leads connected to the disappearance of Savannah’s mother.
A winter storm is expected to move through Arizona, delivering substantial rainfall, potentially complicating the search for Nancy. The National Institute of Justice warned that the weather conditions could potentially hinder the FBI’s ongoing investigation of Guthrie’s home and the surrounding area, putting the crime scene at risk of “loss, contamination, and deleterious change of physical evidence in a relatively short period of time.”
FBI Phoenix Public Affairs Officer Connor Hagan declared, “The FBI will continue our investigation regardless of weather conditions,” adding, “Bringing Nancy home is our priority.”
Nancy was last seen on January 31 and is believed to have been abducted from her home, where she lived alone, in the early hours of February 1.
Shortly after news of her disappearance broke, Sheriff Chris Nanos stated, “We do believe that Nancy was taken from her home against her will, and that’s where we’re at.”
After doorbell camera footage of the unidentified masked individual was shared, investigators say they received over 4,000 tips in less than 24 hours.
Savannah and her siblings have made multiple videos pleading for their mother’s safe return and have stated they are willing to meet monetary demands in exchange for Nancy. At least two different ransom notes have surfaced, including one asking for $6 million and another offering information in exchange for a Bitcoin, worth around $60,000. Since then, the second has upped their ask to hit the $100,000 currently offered by the FBI.
