ROCHESTER — The Red Wings Ace came up with a run in the top of the 10th inning and beat the Rochester Royals 4-3 in amateur baseball Wednesday at Mayo Field.
Andrew Ball pitched a strong game for the Aces, going seven innings and allowing seven hits and three runs while striking out seven. Colter Hegge was also excellent, pitching the final three innings and allowing just one hit and no runs.
Elias Walch was the Royals’ starting pitcher. He went five innings and permitted three hits and three runs, just two of them earned.
Tre Moore had three hits and two RBIs for Red Wing.
Thane Meiners and Hayden Brown each had a pair of hits for the Royals.
