The newly released death certificates for director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele, revealed they were cremated after being stabbed to death, allegedly by their son Nick Reiner.
The remains were handed over to their other son, Jake Reiner, according to the documents obtained by multiple outlets on Tuesday from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The cause of death was officially listed as “multiple sharp point injuries” … “with knife, from another.”
The time of death for Rob Reiner, the “All in the Family” sitcom star who later directed such film hits as “When Harry Met Sally,” and Michele Reiner, a producer, were listed respectively as 3:45 and 3:46 p.m. on Dec. 14.
The couple was cremated on Dec. 19, their death certificates show.
