Robert Irwin is being eyed for modeling campaigns and new TV shows after his success on Dancing with the Stars, sources have claimed.
The 21-year-old son of the late Steve Irwin lives in Queensland, Australia, where he helps run the Australia zoo with his mom Terri and sister, Bindi Irwin.
But a source close to the TV personality said Robert is looking to move to Los Angeles, California, “at least part-time” as he is “being eyed to be a big star and he has a lot of opportunities in Hollywood if he chooses to grab them.”
The insider said many Hollywood heavyweights “want a piece of him” after DWTS – with options including starring in The Bachelor and The Traitors.
“Heavy hitter agencies are eyeing to sign him,” the source told The US Sun, “including CAA and WME.”
“He’s being considered for fashion campaigns and other TV shows have their sights set on him, including The Traitors. ABC execs on set have joked that Robert should be the next Bachelor. Well, it’s not really a joke.
“They would actually kill to cast Robert in the role and have told him that but he’s just too young. If he was about five years older, it’d be a no-brainer.”
The source also claimed that Robert’s decision to eye a move to LA could also be driven by love as he has reportedly hit it off with DWTS troupe member, Hailey Bills.
The source claimed Robert’s been c”hasing Hailey around on set like a puppy dog” and suggested the DWTS crew “is supportive.”
A source spilled the pair “have a really good connection and chemistry” but they are “not yet” officially dating.
Last month, Robert shared a special tribute to his late dad which left fans “crying.”
The DWTS contestant took a moment to honor his father, best known as the Crocodile Hunter, with a video on Instagram on Saturday, October 25.
Steve died on September 4, 2006 at the age of 44 after being pierced in the heart by a stingray’s barb while filming in the Great Barrier Reef.
The video opened up with a clip of the Crocodile Hunter saying, “Is there anything in this world that would want to make me give away what I’m doing now? Yes. Yes there is.”
He continued, “When my children can take the football that I call wildlife conservation and run it up. When they’re ready to run up our mission, I will gladly step aside.”
The video then showed clips of Steve with his children, his wife, and Robert following in his father’s footsteps with animals.
Steve added, “And I guarantee you, it’ll be the proudest moment of my life. And my job will be done. Then, and only then, will I know that I have achieved my ultimate goal to be able to stand aside and let them run up my mission.”
The Crocodile Hunter and his wife, Terri Irwin, 61, share two children together, Bindi, 27, and Robert. They all honor his legacy working at the Australia Zoo in Queensland, Australia.
Robert captioned the post, “To continue this legacy is the honour of my life. If I can make my dad proud, I’ve done my job. Behind everything I do is a conservation mission that my dad started.”
