CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will be celebrating The Beatles with a special screening of episode one and the recently released episode nine of “The Beatles Anthology,” the documentary series produced by Apple Corps exploring the band’s lives and music of one of history’s most influential bands.
The screening happens from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, December 4th at The Rock Hall, tickets are $12, $9 for members and are available at rockhall.com.
The documentary series, narrated by The Beatles themselves, will stream on Disney+ beginning Friday, November 26, and has been restored by Peter Jackson’s post-production studio, Park Road Post.
The upcoming ninth episode features unreleased footage of the then-surviving members George Harrison, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr working on the original 1990 “Anthology” series and compilation album tracing the band’s singular eight-year career.
To keep the celebratory Beatle vibes going, from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, the Rock Hall will play host to its annual Beatles Fan Day featuring appearances and presentations from authors Gary Astridge whose “Beats and Threads” looks at the drum kits and fashion of Ringo Starr, and Diedre Kelly whose book “Fashioning The Beatles: The Looks That Shook The World” looks at how the Fab Four’s personal style effected pop culture and the fashion world.
There will be a meet-and-greet and book signing with the authors from noon to 1 p.m., then the authors will speak for an hour in the Foster Theatre beginning at 1 p.m., with more time for book signing following the author’s talk until 3 p.m.
