Blondie frontwoman Debbie Harry has her sights set on Florence Pugh to play her in an upcoming biopic.
In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, the 80-year-old singer opened up about her acting career and the film in development about her life, directed by Charlotte Wells of Aftersun fame.
Harry didn’t hide her enthusiasm for Pugh taking on the role. “If it were somebody like Florence Pugh, I would be in heaven,” she said. “I just think she’s a great actor and she could do anything.”
Harry herself has a strong acting background, appearing in influential films like Videodrome, Union City, Hairspray, New York Stories, and Body Bags.
