While the cars hit the track during the Grand Prix of Long Beach this weekend, Grammy Award-winning artists and hitmakers will hit the event’s main stage on Friday and Saturday.
And that’s not all the entertainment the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach will have in store, since it will also feature the usual Lifestyle Expo, family-friendly events and a Southern California car culture showcase.
But as for the music, the Friday night concert will kick things off, which Grammy Award-winning rapper Lupe Fiasco taking the stage at the Terrace Theater plaza. The show will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Fiasco has many hits, including “Kick, Push,” “Superstar,” “The Show Goes On” and “Battle Scars.”
“I’ve always been a fan of racing and car culture,” Fiasco said in a statement, “so I’m happy to be a part of the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.”
Jim Liaw, the new president and CEO of the Grand Prix Association of Long Beach, said in a statement that “we’re thrilled” about Fiasco performing at the Grand Prix.
“He’s an extraordinary artist with a dynamic stage presence,” Liaw said, “and this performance will be an exciting way for fans to finish off a great day of racing, entertainment and the Long Beach lifestyle.”

The Kings of Chaos, an all-star band of rockers, will then hit the stage outside the Terrace Theater beginning at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
The band was founded by Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum, and features guest singers Ed Kowalczyk of Live, Nick Hexum of 311 and Aloe Blacc, as well as guitarist Orianthi, Megadeth bassist James LoMenzo and Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt.
“I’m honored to play the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach with Kings of Chaos – where speed meets rock & roll,” Sorum said in a written statement.
Taking place all weekend, meanwhile, will be the popular Lifestyle Expo, which will feature more than 100 displays of the “latest in automotive, home, recreation, travel and entertainment products and services,” according the Grand Prix’s website. The displays will be houses in 270,000 square feet of exhibit space at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center.
The expo will feature a “Green Technology” exhibit and a “Family Fun Zone,” among other experiences.
On Sunday, the Mornings CARnival will “feature a full paddock with a curated lineup of vehicles selected to reflect quality, design, and overall presence,” according to a Grand Prix press release.
Produced and operated by Morning Car Club, the CARnival was founded in 2021 in Frogtown, in Los Angeles, and is a “curated automotive platform rooted in coffee culture and community.”
“Emerging from early gatherings at Mornings Coffee along the L.A. River, the brand has evolved into a tastemaker within the automotive space – blending design, lifestyle, and a refined selection of vehicles,” the press release said. “Known for its intentional approach and elevated atmosphere, Mornings produces experiences that move beyond the traditional car meet, shaping a new standard for how automotive culture is presented and experienced.”
Aldo Lihiang, who organizes Mornings events, said in a statement, “Mornings has always been about curating an experience – not just a car meet.”
“Being part of the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach allows us to bring that vision to a larger stage,” Lihiang said in the press release, “with a carefully selected lineup that represents the best of automotive culture and community.”
