Rosalia stars in Euphoria pole dancing scene but fans are confused at one detail

Euphoria Season 3 has released on HBO Max and sees the return of its’ cast, including Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi, as well as a few new stars like Spanish singer Rosalía

Rosalía has returned in the third episode of Euphoria Season 3, and fans are confused.

After four years, the hit HBO Max series has returned with its star-studded cast, which includes Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, and Jacob Elordi, as well as a few newcomers, including Natasha Lyonne and the Spanish singer, 33.

Rosalía plays Magick, a stripper working at the Silver Slipper nightclub, where Zendaya’s character Rue takes on a management position. Within the third episode, Magick makes her appearance, taking center stage. She performs a pole dancing routine, dressed in a black bikini, platform heels, and a bedazzled neck brace.

Many viewers questioned her performance, with one X user saying, “What the hell is Rosalia doing?”

Another asked, “Rosalia…. should you be doing all those head movements with that bedazzled neck brace on???”

A third chimed in, “Rosalia girl, isn’t your neck broken?”

Magick suffered an on-the-job injury, requiring her to wear a brace custom-made by prop master Joshua Bramer.

Rosalía made her acting debut on the show.

While filming her scenes in early 2025, she admitted she was still adjusting to life on set.

“It’s my first job. I’m learning. I’m figuring it out,” she told Vogue co-hosts Teyana Taylor and Ego Nwodim on the Met Gala red carpet last year.

At the time, she was just “trying not to forget her lines.”

The singer also expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with the cast.

“It’s been very inspiring to be with these amazing actors. It’s great,” she mentioned.

Rosalía was announced as part of the cast in February. At the time, she released a statement that read, “If there’s anything that excites me as much as creating a good melody or writing a great lyric, it’s becoming a better performer every day.

“Euphoria has been my favorite series over the last few years, and I couldn’t be happier and more grateful to be acting alongside all of these incredibly talented people that I admire so much and contributing my ‘granito de arena’ to bring Sam [Levinson’s] vision to reality to make magic. I can’t wait to share what we’re doing!!!”

Sam, the creator of Euphoria, found Rosalía “perfect” for the part of Magick.

“She’s a great character. Funny, tough, emotional. I also love her accent. She was perfect for the part,” he told Vogue.

While filming for Euphoria, Rosalía was also working on her fourth studio album, Lux, which was released on November 7, 2025. The setlist features collaborations with Estrella Morente, Björk, and Yahritza Y Su Esencia.

She is currently on tour promoting the new record.
