Roseanne Barr is poised to make a Hollywood comeback, a source tells National Enquirer.
The comedian, who was fired from her Roseanne revival on ABC over a racist tweet in 2018, railed against the network for its “double standard” in putting Jimmy Kimmel back on the air after his controversial comments.
“She’s still angry by the way she was treated,” says the source, but her hope is that some people will realize “she was right” about deserving the same forgiveness.
In 2018, two months after the reboot of her groundbreaking family sitcom — which was known for tackling taboo subjects with edgy humor during its original 1988 to 1997 run — Barr described Barack Obama’s former advisor Valerie Jarrett as if “muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby” in tweet.
Barr, 72, deleted the post and apologized for the “bad joke” on the same day, but her character was killed off and her eponymous show was renamed The Conners.
She later claimed she had taken sleep medication when she posted the message and thought Jarrett was white.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! was temporarily suspended after the host, 57, suggested Charlie Kirk’s killer may have been part of the “MAGA gang.”
While his show was reinstated less than a week later, Barr, 72, pointed out that her “whole life was ruined” following her mistake, she told NewsNation on Wednesday, September 24.
But she still has some fans in Hollywood, says the source, “and might get her chance” to return to TV. “She would be open to a new gig. She’s got a lot of unfinished business.”
