Rosie O’Donnell revealed she sold all her U.S. real estate, including properties in New York City and Miami
She moved to Ireland in January 2025 with her 13-year-old child, citing political and personal reasons for the relocation

Rosie O’Donnell is staying in Ireland for the long haul.
On Tuesday, June 16, The View alum, 64, stopped by SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live to promote her live one-woman show Common Knowledge in New York City this summer. However, during the conversation, O’Donnell revealed she wouldn’t be living in a place of her own throughout the show’s run.
“Do you have a a place here still?” the host, 58, asks. “No,” she responds simply. “I sold everything.”
The A League of Their Own star then confirmed she sold all of her real estate in the U.S., including properties previously held in New York City and Miami.
“Wow, and you had such a great portfolio of real estate. You sold it all? You didn’t even want to keep one thing?” Cohen asks.
“I didn’t,” the former talk show host says in the clip. “I had a big four-bedroom penthouse and it was, you know, I thought all my kids would love to come in all the time. They never came in.”
She adds: “I was there with three empty bedrooms, you know, and my little one still sleeps in the bed with me, so I had three empty bedrooms in this four-bedroom place and I thought, you know, we don’t know how long Trump’s going to stay in. When he’s done, I will come back.”
O’Donnell made headlines last year when she confirmed in a March 11, 2025, TikTok that she moved to Ireland on Jan. 15 with her 13-year-old child Clay, four days after she seemingly teased that she was living abroad in an Instagram post.

In the video, she seemingly referenced changes made in the country since President Donald Trump was inaugurated: “It’s been heartbreaking to see what’s happening politically and hard for me personally as well. The personal is political, as we all know.”
She added: “I’m trying to find a home here in this beautiful country and when it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America, that’s when we will consider coming back.”

In March 2025, O’Donnell’s four-bedroom, three-bathroom, New York City condo appeared to be in contract, nearly two years after it was first listed for sale for $8.3 million in May 2023. At the time, the listing was held by Caroline Bass of Corcoran for $6.9 million.
Despite selling her luxurious abode, The Flintstones actress says she’s excited to be back in the city she called home for so long.
“When you’re here and you’re wandering around New York City and you’re back — I mean, you lived here for so long. You’re such a New Yorker,” Cohen says. “What does it feel like to be back?”
