Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton reportedly have a lot of thoughts about the disgraced Prince Andrew.
The couple are allegedly hoping that the former Duke of York will “disappear” now that he’s given up his royal title, alleges royal biographer Tina Brown. William and Kate, both 43, “can’t abide” Andrew, 65, and don’t want him anywhere near their new “forever home.”
Andrew currently resides in his Windsor mansion, which is “just four miles” down the road from where William and Kate are planning to move, Brown wrote in her Fresh Hell Substack on Tuesday, October 21. Andrew does not have to leave the property until 2078 (and hasn’t paid rent in 22 years), a lease agreement obtained by The Times on Tuesday revealed.
Brown also doubled down on claims that William is looking to ice Andrew out of royal events once he becomes king. (Us Weekly has reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment. There have been no reports that state Andrew plans to leave the home.)

It was reported on Monday, October 20, that William is looking to strip non-working royals of their HRH and princely titles — which includes Andrew and his brother, Prince Harry.
“He certainly has had it with his Uncle Andrew,” royal expert Christopher Andersen told Us Weekly exclusively on Monday. “It would indeed take an act of Parliament to formally strip Andrew of his princely title, and the same goes for Harry.”
Andersen explained that it “would be tricky” for William.
“I can’t quite wrap my head around the idea of William taking such action against his own brother, no matter how upset he is with Harry,” Andersen added, noting that Andrew and his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, would be a different story since their titles come “directly” because of their father.
“Years ago, cost-conscious Charles floated the idea of demoting them from Princesses to Ladies and kicking them off the royal payroll as part of his efforts to slim down the monarchy,” Andersen added. “As fond as William has always been of his cousins Beatrice and Eugenie, it’s not hard to imagine that he might consider doing the same thing.”

Andrew gave up his royal title on Friday, October 17, as his past with late convicted billionaire sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein continues to make headlines upon the release of Virigina Giuffre’s posthumously released memoir, Nobody’s Girl. In the book, Giuffre details the alleged sexual assault she faced at the hands of Andrew and Epstein.
“In discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family,” Andrew’s statement read. “I have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first. I stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life.”
Andrew’s connection to Epstein first came to light in 2019 when Giuffre alleged that she was forced to have sex with the former Duke of York on multiple occasions when she was underage. Andrew has continued to deny the claims.
“With His Majesty’s agreement, we feel I must now go a step further,” his statement on Friday concluded. “I will therefore no longer use my title or the honors which have been conferred upon me. As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me.”
Years after his denial, Giuffre sued Andrew for sexual abuse in 2021. They settled outside of court the following year. Giuffre died by suicide at age 41 this past April.
