Meghan Markle’s latest announcement about the festive season has got royal fans talking. The Duchess of Sussex announced that the Christmas special of her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, will land on December 3, on the same date as Germany begins its state visit to the UK.
She made the announcement on her Instagram account by sharing a look at her festive holiday table, which includes candles, glassware, ribbons, and greenery. However, royal fans were not impressed by the lack of colour in her festive setup and mocked her for being “boring” and not incorporating enough Christmas elements and colour. One user said on X: “The centrepiece on Meghans boring ‘holiday’ table is a glass globe with a sh**** ribbon tied around it. Not even a nice Christmas bow.”
Another one opined: “Note the brown candles. For Christmas? This is a generic table set for any occasion. Nothing to suggest Christmas,” while a third one added: “This image reads more like a behind-the-scenes setup than a finished tablescape. It lacks emotional pull or visual connection a true cover shot needs.” Another one commented: “And the fact that the bulb is clear makes it disappear on the table, resulting in a lack of focal point–the opposite of what a centrepiece is supposed to do.” Others appeared more excited and said they “can’t wait” to see Meghan’s latest offering.
