Meghan Markle is reportedly plotting to win back King Charles III’s favour. It is thought that the monarch and the Duchess of Sussex were close before she and Prince Harry broke away from the Royal Family in January 2020. The then Prince of Wales walked Meghan down the aisle at her wedding in 2017, in the absense of her father. Harry told the BBC in May last year that he would love to reconcile with Charles. Now, a source has told Heat World that the prince is convinced that, if they’re going to win over the King, Meghan needs to be just as involved as he is.
“It was her idea to share a photo of the King in her [wedding anniversary] Instagram post – that was calculated – and Harry couldn’t be happier that she and him are finally on the same page when it comes to his family,” they added. The “insider” claimed that, a few weeks ago, Meghan put together a “huge gift basket” for the anniversary of Charles and Camilla’s Coronation, including a “sweet note”. She received in return a thank you note from the King, it is believed. It is thought they will keep making the effort until Charles tells them to stop making contact.
