This year, Kate, whose looks for this event are often trendworthy, stepped out in a black-and-white polka-dot midi dress, with a coordinating jacket top that had large black buttons and was cinched at her waist. As expected, she wore a large, vintage hat, also in black and white, and accessorized with some tan-colored heels, a pearl clutch, and pearl earrings.

Despite her usually making positive headlines with her elegant, colorful springtime style, Kate’s black and white outfit strongly disappointed some of her fans. Not only did many of them find it too “boring” for a spring garden party, but they also felt it looked too similar to a lot of other dresses she had been wearing.
