A royal helicopter has landed at Hereford Racecourse as two city organisations host a special visitor.
The arrival of the distinctive burgundy helicopter is linked to a visit by Birgitte, the Duchess of Gloucester, who is spending the day in Hereford for two official engagements.
She is visiting The Little Princess Trust on Berrington Street and Wyevale Nurseries.
The helicopter, part of the King’s Helicopter Flight, is used by the Royal Household for official travel across the UK.
The aircraft is used not for “glamour” but for its speed and flexibility in enabling the Royal family to reach multiple sites in a single day.
The AgustaWestland AW139 helicopters were introduced to replace older Sikorsky aircraft.

The Little Princess Trust was founded in memory of Hannah Tarplee, who died from a Wilms tumour in 2005.
During her illness, Hannah lost her hair, and her parents struggled to find a suitable wig for her.
Their experience led them to set up the charity, which has since provided wigs to more than 20,000 children and now also funds childhood cancer research.
The Duchess will also visit Wyevale Nurseries, where chairman Heather Williamson said the team is “truly honoured” by the royal visit.
The Duchess is expected to tour key parts of the nursery and learn about its growing operations and efforts to promote sustainable land use.
