Reading FC Under-21s are aiming to book a place in the semi-finals of the Premier League 2 Cup.
Peter Scott’s side have been drawn against Blackburn Rovers in the quarter-final clash, which will be played later this month.

The Royals impressed in the group stage, winning five of their six matches, and continued their strong form with a dominant 5-0 victory over Stoke City in the round of 16.

Blackburn progressed from a group featuring Coventry City, Leyton Orient, and Watford before defeating Ipswich Town to reach the last eight.
Reading first-team coaches Leam Richardson, James Beattie, and Rob Kelly have all spent time in the Rovers Academy, adding a personal dimension to the fixture.

The two sides are separated by just four points in the PL2 table, though the Royals claimed a convincing 4-1 win when they met in January.
Reading were the inaugural winners of the PL2 Cup more than a decade ago and will be looking to reclaim the title.
The quarter-final will be played on Wednesday, March 25 at Accrington Stanley’s Wham Stadium, with kick-off at 7pm.
