The search for a new ballpark has dragged out longer than the Royals expected, but one potential site may now be off the board. According to Fox 4 reporter Jonathan Lewis Ketz, the Royals are no longer interested in building a ballpark at 119th and Nall in Overland Park, on the site of the Aspiria campus.
The state of Kansas also approved STAR Bonds to lure either the Chiefs or Royals across the state line. But while the state reached an agreement with the Chiefs on a new football stadium in Wyandotte County, state lawmakers have indicated that the clock has run out on the Royals.
