Rush finally has a Bay Area date on its long-awaited reunion tour.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band has expanded its 2026 “Fifty Something” North American tour to include San Jose along with 16 more cities – among them Seattle, Philadelphia, Boston, Montreal, Washington, D.C. and Atlanta – following widespread sellouts of the initial dates.

The South Bay show is set for Oct. 15 at SAP Center at San Jose.

The tour marks Rush’s first since 2015 and the first time bassist and vocalist Geddy Lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson will perform together in more than a decade. The run celebrates more than 50 years of the band’s music and honors the legacy of late drummer and lyricist Neil Peart, who died in 2020.

“We are blown away by the response to the announcement we made a few weeks ago that we’re going back on tour,” Lee said in a video posted to YouTube on Monday, Oct. 20. “I cannot tell you how surprising and overwhelmed we are.”

Turning to Lifeson, he added, “The downside for you, my, friend, is that we have to go back into the gym. We need to be strong, because we’re adding 17 more cities to our tour.”

Joining Lee and Lifeson on the road will be German drummer Anika Nilles, best known for her work with Jeff Beck.

“We could not be more excited to introduce her to our loyal and dedicated Rush fan base, whom, we know, will give her every chance to live up to that near impossible role,” Lee said.

The “Fifty Something” tour kicks off June 7 at the Kia Forum in Inglewood (Los Angeles County) and will run through Dec. 15 where it wraps up in Vancouver.

Each concert will feature two sets drawn from a 35-song catalog of greatest hits and deep cuts.

Presales for the newly added shows begin at noon Monday, Oct. 27, with general onsale starting Friday, Oct. 31. Fans can register for presale access at livemu.sc/rush.

Rush recently released “Rush 50,” a 50-track anthology spanning from the band’s 1973 debut single to their final performance together – a career-spanning collection that reaffirms why the Canadian trio remains one of rock’s most enduring acts.
