Ryan Seacrest will host the 2026 Disney Legends Awards Ceremony at the D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event on August 16.
The event will celebrate stars from the stage, movies, and television.
The American Idol host previously emceed the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony back in 2024.
Ryan Seacrest is bringing his hosting skills to a brand-new stage.
Over the last three decades, fans have known the media personality as the emcee of hit television series such as American Idol and Wheel of Fortune. In between working on those projects, though, Ryan’s also hosted a range of other shows. And based on a surprise announcement made on X on March 26, it looks like there’s something new.
Alongside a video introducing the honorees (including Anne Hathaway, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Lin-Manuel Miranda, the Jonas Brothers, and more), fans learned that Ryan will host the 2026 Disney Legends Awards Ceremony on August 16, 2026. The program will be part of the annual D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, which will be held at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California
“Presenting the 2026 class of Disney Legends, who will be honored at the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony hosted by @RyanSeacrest on Sunday, August 16 at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event presented by VISA,” the caption read.
As soon as fans saw Ryan’s latest hosting gig, they had to share their thoughts about it.
“Impressive. Most Impressive,” the official Star Wars X account wrote in the comments. “Love this!” another agreed.
This actually isn’t the first time Ryan has hosted the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony. He was the emcee for the event back in 2024, when his former Live co-host, Kelly Ripa, was inducted as a Disney Legend. When the time came for Ryan to present her with the award, she commented about how he’s always hosting!
“Thank you so much, and Ryan, thank you from the bottom of my heart,” she shared at the time in her speech, per People. “I’m just so glad that you finally found something else to host.”
We can’t wait!
