A successful fan moment for Saab Magalona and Jim Bacarro!
Filipina podcaster Saab Magalona couldn’t hide her excitement after meeting one of her favorite Hollywood stars.
On social media, the celebrity mom shared her experience at the fan screening of The Mandalorian and Grogu in Tokyo, Japan.
Along with her husband, Jim Bacarro, Saab was excited to attend the screening alongside fellow Star Wars fans from across Asia.
The crowd erupted in cheers as Pedro Pascal and Jon Favreau greeted everyone on stage. Saab even tried to make a heart pose with Pedro, though she hilariously failed each time.
Still, everything turned out well when she got the chance to meet the two Hollywood stars up close for an exclusive interview.
“To be fair to Pedro Pascal, I didn’t say a word as I flung my halfheart in the air. HAHAHAHA introverts can relate,” Saab wrote in the caption.
“So here’s what went down at the fan screening of The Mandalorian and Grogu in Tokyo. I also included some snippets from our interviews with Pedro and Jon (first name basis?!?). Also, I got Pedro to say a Tagalog word. UY PILIPINS!!!”
In another post, Saab admitted that everything about their Tokyo trip still felt surreal.
“Still uncertain if this was real life. The Mandalorian and Grogu is now showing in cinemas. We were such fans of the series, but the great thing about the movie is that you can enjoy it even without watching the series first. Jon Favreau did say that he directed this thinking it would be some kids’ first Star Wars movie ever.”
Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu follows Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his apprentice, Grogu, as they go on a rescue mission for Rotta the Hutt (Jeremy Allen White) in exchange for information from the Hutt clan about a New Republic target.
It is directed by Jon Favreau, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Dave Filoni and Noah Kloor. The film is produced by Lucasfilm and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
The movie is part of the Star Wars franchise and serves as a continuation of the Disney+ series The Mandalorian (2019-2023).
