Sabrina Carpenter could have used an espresso to offset the booze she and Seth Meyers appeared to consume in a “Late Night” day drinking segment on Tuesday.
But the pop princess was sober enough to be glad that the host handled an awkward moment involving the mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.
Pretending to be baristas at one point, the two took turns reciting coffee orders. The “Manchild” singer did it best when she spoke with an Italian accent. She eventually asked Meyers to do one more order.
The host obliged as the “Short ’n Sweet” Grammy winner directed.
“Large black coffee for Osama bin Laden,” Meyers read off a cue card as he broke off laughing.
“You know what, I’m happy you did that one ’cause I think that clip could have been thrown around for me in a weird way,” she said.
“Whereas I own it,” a tipsy Meyers declared. “I own that. Everybody gets coffee. That’s what happens when you drink.”
