Surprise guests The Chicks joined Carpenter for “Wide Open Spaces,” adding Texas roots and twang to a night of country flair, glitter and undeniable star power. Carpenter also playfully “arrested” Olivia Dean for being “too beautiful,” proving she’s as fun offstage as she is on.
