A red bandana, a white horse, and faded blue jeans: Sabrina Carpenter has officially gone full country music star. Yesterday, the Grand Ole Opry announced that Carpenter would be making her debut at the Nashville institution as part of its ongoing 100th anniversary celebration. The artist, set to grace the iconic venue’s stage October 7, will join a historic lineup of previous acts, from Johnny Cash to Dolly Parton. The latter, a notable inspiration for Carpenter, previously worked with the star on a country version of “Please Please Please.“
To celebrate, the Man’s Best Friend artist took to Instagram to share some country-inspired looks, including a Dolly Parton sweatshirt, of course. Swapping her signature bouncy blowout for natural waves, she tucked her blonde hair into a red-and-white checkered bandana trimmed with a sweet scalloped hem. The picnic-worthy piece was paired with low-rise loose-fitting blue jeans and a white Cou Cou Intimates long sleeve with a matching picot trim. Made from a soft cotton jersey fabric, it was designed with bell sleeves, a wide neckline, and an angled hem for a refined take on a classic white tee.
But while her look may have been simple, her beauty was anything but. Dark bushy brows and a deep lined lip provided the perfect balance to her sun-kissed cheeks, making her light blue eyes pop in contrast. On her nails, she showed off her jewel-toned French manicure, which sparkled alongside her custom Maison Raksha initial ring (previously featured on her album cover).
