NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Girl power is coming to the Shubert Theatre next month.
A new musical by Sacred Heart Academy will be bringing a mix of fairy tales and pop to the stage, with songs paying tribute to Britney Spears.

“Once Upon a One More Time” is running at the Shubert Theatre on Nov. 7 and 8.
The plot is based on a fairy godmother dropping into the kingdom of Cinderella, Snow White and Rapunzel. The princesses discover that the meaning of “happily ever after” might be unconventional.
The performance features singing, “fierce choreography” and messages of empowerment.
“It’s about finding your voice and finding who you are and what your true happily ever after is,” Aubrey Christopher, who is playing Cinderella in the show, said.
Christopher adds Sacred Heart has reached out to Spears’s lawyer in an effort to get her to make an appearance and view the tribute.
Proceeds from the musical are going towards Life Haven and New Reach, a Thanksgiving food drive and an initiative that provides books for under resourced children.
