Saoirse Ronan just picked up a new role: mom.
The “Lady Bird” star gave birth to her first child with husband Jack Lowden, as the couple stepped out for a family walk in London with a stroller, per photos obtained by The Sun Sept. 11.
Ronan debuted her pregnancy in a similar way, first putting her baby bump on display during a stroll with Jack and their dog in London in May.
While the duo began dating in 2017 after meeting on the set of “Mary Queen of Scots” — where he played the doomed husband to her titular character — they have tended to keep their relationship out of the public eye. This includes marrying in a private Scotland ceremony last July with only their closest friends and family present.
Still, the couple have shared insight into their dynamic, including their work together on projects like “The Outrun,” which they produced together and Ronan, 31, starred in.
“Jack is a lot calmer than I am. He’s my voice of reason,” she told USA Today in October 2024. “But as a duo, we’ve both been on film sets our whole lives, so we have an appreciation of what we’re asking actors to do. We always want them to feel safe.”

But despite collaborating behind the scenes, Ronan has teased a possible onscreen reunion with her husband.
“Jack didn’t want to for a long time, but I’ve now convinced him that’s a great idea,” she revealed. “I’d really like to do something together on stage.”
While the “Slow Horses” actor might be more hesitant to hop back in front of the camera with his wife, that hasn’t stopped him from singing her praises.
“It was remarkable working with Saoirse,” Lowden gushed on a December 2018 panel for AOL’s BUILD series. “The woman is a force of nature on and off screen, and utterly fearless and a brilliant leader as well.”
And while they continue to keep their romance out of the spotlight, they know public interest comes with the job. “I’m not an idiot. Her and I don’t find that odd. We’re hugely appreciative of the level of scrutiny we have,” Lowden told i Newspaper in 2023. “We’re treated well but we don’t seek it either.”
“It’s also obviously of our own making,” he continued. “As long as we’ve got each other, we’re alright with any of that.”
